There are seven designs, from soft and cute to a retro game console. Pick one, add their name and a few photos, write your message, and you’ll have a link to send in a few minutes.

Along with the link you get a QR code for a printed card or a gift tag, and a vertical video for your status or stories. It’s handy for partners, parents and friends in another city, and for the “I forgot until 11 pm” birthdays too.

    Cute & Sweet, Classic, Arcade or one of the others. Tap it and the birthday editor opens with that design.

  2. Make it theirs

    Their name, your message and a few photos. That’s all it needs.

How do I send a birthday card on WhatsApp?

Make the card, copy the link and paste it into the chat. It shows up with a preview image and they tap it to open. If you want it to land at midnight, make it earlier in the evening and keep the link ready.

Can I send it to someone in another country?

Yes. It’s a link, so it opens anywhere. You pay in your own currency and the person opening it pays nothing.
